14-16 nov 2025, bergen
a weekend for environmentalism, animal rights, and human rights
Registration form at the bottom of the page.
Good to know: Most of us speak Norwegian, but we have multiple members who don’t, so we keep it in English for a more inclusive weekend - but it’s totally ok to talk in Norwegian as well :-)
What to expect:
Annual meeting
The most important meeting of the year, where we together decide on what and how we will work.
Talks & workshops
All of them have the common goal of providing value to individuals who want to make the world a better place for nature, animals, and people.
Self care
Bouldering, city-walk in nature and being surrounded by like-minded people. Free amazing vegan food for everyone the whole weekend.
1-1 networking
Multiple opportunities to network and perhaps meet a new friend, future colleague, or partner in crime 💚
Agenda
Friday - Arrival day
13-15 Bouldering at BKS Laksevåg
We kick off the weekend with a social and active day together at the bouldering place BKS Laksevåg. It's a short bus trip away from the venue, but make sure to plan ahead! We'll meet in the reception area at 13:00, and Martin (wearing a black WSH hoodie) will pay the entrance fee and shoe rental for everyone who needs it. There are wardrobes with open showers, if anyone wants to shower before the bouldering starts. I recommend bringing a change of clothes at least.16-17 Venue opens, chill networking and light snacks
Welcome to the venue! Feel free to use this time to get to know the venue, maybe set up one or two 1-1 conversations? Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or a free WSH sweater! 🌿✨17-17:45 Speedfriending 1
Who are the other people of WSH? Join us for a sessions where we all get to know each other a little better, prepping us to create a little more chill and safe space for everyone. This weekend is all about connecting more with what we care about and creating positive actions for the future - to do that, we feel it's very important to know each other, and that's why on day 1 it's mostly social activities.18-18:45 Opening talk: Protecting nature, animals and humans
An opening talk presenting the journey and current state of World Saving Hustle - exploring the metacrisis, the interconnection between animals, nature, and humans, and the urgent need for all of us to come together and take action for good. By CEO Martin Skadal.19:00 Dinner potluck style/buffet! (vegan)
At World Saving Hustle, one of our favorite local activities is the “vegan potluck”, where everyone brings a plant-based dish to share. This time, we’ll take care of the cooking, offering a little bit of everything in a buffet-style meal. Feel free to bring something if you want, but it's not needed. All food during the weekend will be fully vegan, as we do our best to live our values and make choices that reflect care for animals, nature, and each other.
20-22 Sharing circle(s) and get to know each other on a deeper level.
This moment is about all of us, and the reasons we’ve come together. You don’t have to speak, but your voice is welcome. We’ll sit in a big circle, sharing one by one. Each person will have about three minutes to tell a bit about themselves - your story, what brought you here, what you care about, and why it matters to you.You can bring notes or just speak from your heart. The person speaking will hold a shared item, our “microphone”, and if you’d rather listen this time, just pass it on to the next person.
22:00 Venue closed
Saturday - Conference day
09:00-09:15 Venue opening
We open the doors! Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or a free WSH sweater! 🌿✨09-09:45 Mindfulness
We begin the day with mindfulness led by Bjarte — a moment to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with why we’re here. To arrive fully, in the now, and prepare our bodies and minds for a meaningful day.Two options, choose one
10-10:45 Vegan cooking workshop!
Want to learn how to make delicious vegan food, or just get better at cooking in general? 🍴 Join Salomé’s vegan cooking workshop! You’ll actually help prepare some of the food for the day, and we’re super grateful to both Salomé and everyone who joins this session. The workshop runs on both Saturday and Sunday, so you’ll have two chances to take part!10-10:45 Local chapter activism and funding opportunities
What happens in WSH’s local chapters — and how can we make them stronger and more impactful? Martin will give a short introduction featuring examples from across Norway, followed by a spotlight on WSH Tromsø with Ina & Ida. We’ll also share how your chapter can easily apply for 20,000 NOK in funding to bring your own ideas and activities to life.
11-14 Speedfriending, networking and outdoor lunch!
We’ll spend some time in nature with an outdoor lunch, catching daylight, fresh air, and good vibes. There’ll be space for one-on-one talks, small groups, or simply relaxing together. We’ll be outside for a few hours, so remember to dress warmly, it’s likely to be chilly! Afterwards, we head back for more sessions.14-14:45 Talk: Political advocacy and organizational growth
We’re so excited to have Ronja joining us in Bergen to host a short workshop on political advocacy and organizational growth.Over the past few years, she’s worked with the Green Party (MDG) and its youth organizations on election campaigns and outreach. Ronja has also been part of developing Extinction Rebellion Norway and other environmental organizations, gaining hands-on experience with political influence both from within and outside the system 🌍
15-16 1-1 meetings
Use this time to send 1-on-1 requests and arrange meetings. Look for people you could help, or who might be able to help you. You can also book casual meetups just to grab a tea or coffee together, it doesn’t have to be about impact (though we do encourage it!). Who knows - you might meet a new friend, future colleague, or partner in crime 💚 At the same time, remember it’s totally okay to say no to a meeting. The weekend is short, and everyone’s balancing their own schedule. If you need to cancel, just do it respectfully and as early as possible, so the other person has time to book something else. No hard feelings - that’s part of the flow! ☕🌍16-16:45 The Joy of Creation: Playful Paths to Innovative Solutions
As Einstein once said, we can’t solve problems with the same mindset that created them. To truly innovate, we need to think, and feel - differently. In this workshop, “The Joy of Creation: Playful Paths to Innovative Solutions,” we’ll rediscover one of our most powerful yet forgotten tools: playfulness. Together, we’ll explore how creativity, curiosity, and joy can unlock new ideas and help us find better ways to care for the world around us. By local chapter leader Ina from WSH Tromsø.17-17:45 Strategy workshop: Prep for the annual meeting and future of WSH!
In this session, we’ll go through the proposed WSH Strategy for 2026–2028, as preparation for our annual meeting on Sunday. The goal is to include the voices of everyone, also those who won’t be attending the meeting, so we can land democratically on what the WSH board and team will focus on in the coming years. All feedback and questions are warmly welcome, and we highly encourage everyone to take part in this important discussion! 💬🌍18-20 Dinner
Dinner for everyone, vegan as usual.20:00 Documentary evening
One of WSH’s favorite local chapter activities is hosting documentary screenings, where we gather for vegan snacks, good company, and thought-provoking films about global issues. This time, we’re hoping to premiere a new documentary on whaling in Norway, not yet publicly released. Our partners at Whale and Dolphin Conservation will share access with us as soon as it launches! 🐳22:00 Venue closed

10-14 National annual meeting of WSH 2025!
Our annual meeting is the most important meeting of the year. It's scheduled for four hours, including short breaks when needed and with travel times in mind.To make the most of our time, we’ll keep the meeting structured and efficient, while still open and inclusive. All key documents (strategy, budget, etc.) will be sent out beforehand, so please review them in advance.
The goal is to focus our discussions on proposed changes, not to reread every document. Still, there are no stupid questions, if something’s unclear, raise your hand and share your thoughts. We’re in this together 💚
